Most cases have an interior blanket that protects the viola from bow friction, although you can also use a cover. You can find cases for one viola or two, in case you want to transport two instruments together. They usually come with bow holders. However, if you need to transport more bows than your case can accommodate or your case doesn't have enough space, there are also cases specifically designed for bows. More sophisticated cases often include a tube for strings and a hygrometer to measure humidity, as this factor greatly affects the viola.
