About Klaus Ludwig Clement
Klaus Ludwig Clement discovered his love for violin making in the master workshop of Karl Hoefner, Bubenreuth, where he learned his craft from the bottom up. In 1987, he took the examination to become a certified master violin maker in Nuernberg. In 2000 he founded the master workshop of Clement & Weise in Bubenreuth, establishing the "Clement & Weise" brand in the international market. since 2010, Clement runs his own workshop in the music city of Leipzig. Aside from his reputation as a violin maker, Klaus has also garnered an international reputation through numerous lectures about violin making and his special area of expertise, historical varnish recipes. The construction of his own instruments reflects all of the above interests and pursuits, which help him in the process of finding his own style.
