About Steffen Kuhnla

Steffen Kuhnla was born in 1961 and learned in the workshops of R. Messing, C.O. Dürrschmidt and R.H. Leicht. He obtained his diploma as master bowmaker in 1988 and a year later he founded his own workshop. His bows have won many awards, such as the first prizes for his violin, viola and cello bows in the Tchaikovsky Competition. He is lecturer at the University of Applied Arts in Markneukirchen, teaching Musical Instruments Manufacturing.
